Reset of the values and parameters
In some cases, a reset may be required, e.g., to reset counter values, parameters, etc.
The retain / persistent memory for the PLCs PM56xx-2ETH must be buffered using a TA521 or TA522 adapter for a battery. The following functions operate only if a primary lithium battery is inserted. Observe all handling instructions for TA521 or TA522.

The AC500-eCo PLCs, PM50xx-ETH PLCs do not require a primary lithium battery.

It is recommended to use PERSISTENT and RETAIN.
Complete reset of the PLC
To perform a complete reset of the PLC and erase the application from RAM and EEPROM flash, proceed as follows.

Right-click the station object “PLC_AC500_V3” in the device tree.

Select “Reset origin device [station name]”.
The application is completely erased from the PLC (complete project from all memory areas).
