CODESYS provides the capability of executing commands directly via keyboard shortcuts. You can customize or extend predefined keyboard shortcuts.

Click “Tools Customize”.
The “Customize” dialog opens.

Select the ⮫ Keyboard tab.

In the overview on the left, select the “Help” category.
All commands of this category are displayed on the right side.

Select the “Search” command.

Click in the “Press shortcut keys” field.

Press [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [S].
CODESYS adds the shortcut to the field.

Click the “Assign” button.
The shortcut is assigned to the command.

Click “OK”.
You can call the “Search” command by pressing [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [S].
