If the LED flashes fast (4 Hz), a firmware update has finished with no errors. If the Run LED flashes fast (4 Hz), alternating with a flashing Run LED, the firmware is being updated. To enforce boot mode 1, keep the RUN function key pressed during the boot procedure. In this case, the Run LED flashes slowly (1 Hz). A subsequent project download from Automation Builder cancels the flashing. |

If the ERR LED flashes slowly (1 Hz), a firmware update from the memory card has finished with errors. If the ERR LED flashes fast with AC500 on display a fatal system error has occurred. If the ERR LED flashes fast (4 Hz), alternating with the Run LED, the firmware is being updated. |
A running processor module is indicated by the state RUN on the display. A deactivated processor module is indicated by the state STOP. In both cases, the display is backlight is off.
