Hotfixes can be in different files - *.exe, *.package or Linux (for communication interface modules).
Hotfix file via memory card
A hotfix PLC firmware file (*.exe) can be installed via a memory card. ⮫ “Execution of update via memory card”
Communication interface (CI) module firmware
The firmware of AC500 communication interface modules can be updated with the IP configuration tool.

Download the current firmware hotfix from the ⮫ PLC website.

Save and unpack the .zip file at any location of your hard disc.

Save and close open projects in Automation Builder.

In the menu bar of the Automation Builder open the “Package Manager”. “Tools Package Manager”
The “Package Manager” opens.
