Function: The command saves the project file.
Call: “File” menu
The command saves the project file with the current project name which appears in the title bar of the main window. If the project has been changed since it was last saved, then the project name is provided with an asterisk.
The command is not available if the project is write-protected.
Write-protection exists in the following cases:

The project is identified as "Released" in the project information (summary).

When opening the project, the “Open read-only” option was selected in the “Open Project” dialog.
Write protection is indicated by a line in the top right corner of the main window. Click this line to display a menu with commands for the following possible actions:

“Save project under a different file name on the disk”: When you click this option, the "Save File as" dialog opens.

“Exit read-only mode”: Displayed only if the “Open read-only” option is selected when opening the project

“Remove read-only attribute from the project on the disk”: Displayed only if the project file was provided with the "Read-only" property when it was opened on the disk

“Remove identification "Released" in the project information”: Displayed only if this attribute is currently set
Backup copy
A backup copy of the project file can be created optionally. If the “Create backup copy” option is selected in the “Load and Save” option dialog, then the project is also copied to a file named <project name.backup>
each time the project is saved.
