Function: The command clears the gaps which can result when you make changes to the declaration of persistent variables. The clearing operation reduces the memory requirement. When the command is executed, CODESYS displays a warning which notifies the user about the possible loss of data.
Call: “Declarations” menu; context menu
Requirement: The persistence editor (persistent variable list) is active.
Before the clearing operation, you should consider saving the current values of the persistent variables to a recipe (“Save Current Values to Recipe” command). Then you can load the values to the controller again after the next download.
