The zone management is a feature which not only helps the user to manage his system but also give some add on functionality. On the other side, the zone management functionality as well as any further functionality will need more resources in PLC.

There are several criteria to decide how many levels the user should apply as zone management:

  • Total number of zones

  • Complexity of the machine

  • The PLC type used (due to resources available in PLC)

  • Zone level Programming
  • Group level Programming
  • System level programming
