The following prerequisites must be met:

  • Communication settings are correct.

  • The project is saved on the PC.

  • The PLC is connected.

  1. Log in to the PLC.

  2. In the menu, click “Online  Source download to connected device”.

    Project archive is downloaded to PLC.

  3. To verify the download, double-click the “PLC_AC500_V3” node, select the “Files” view and double-click the “PlcLogic” folder in the Runtime view. If necessary, click the refresh button in the Runtime.

    The Archive.prj file appears if the download was successful.

Source upload

The following prerequisites must be met:

  • A project archive on PLC available (from previous source download).

  • The PLC is connected

Depending on the Automation Builder version used, the layout of the opened windows may vary.

  1. Open the Automation Builder.

  2. In the menu, click “File  Source upload...”.

    The “Pick the device from where you want to upload the source archive...” window appears.

    If you get an error click [Scan for other devices].

  3. Select your PLC with the archive and click [OK].

    The “Extract Project Archive” dialog appears.

  4. Select your preferred folder and click [Extract].

    A prompt to open the project archive appears.

    Click_Yes

  5. Click [Yes].

    The project opens.

    The upload was successful.
