According to⮫ [2], annex C.2.

F-Devices that should be shut down due to energy efficiency reasons or for maintenance reasons require an F-Host extension that allows to ignore host timeout/CRC errors.

After the application sets Disable_C = TRUE, the F-Host is requested to use fail-safe values for this F-Device.

Disable_S = TRUE reports the application that the F-Host is now using fail-safe values. Timeout/CRC errors from the F-Device are ignored while Disable_S = TRUE.
